Itinerary
At the airport, our representative will warmly welcome you to serve you
an unforgettable travel experience during your holiday. You will check into the hotel in
Negombo, and start visiting Negombo attractions, depending on the time remaining after
your arrival.
Negombo is popular for its beach and the lagoon, Dutch colonial heritage, fishing culture,
and Catholic and Buddhist religious sites.
After checking into the hotel, you can visit some attractions, including St. Mary’s Church and
Angurukaramula Buddhist Temple. The number of attractions to visit depends on the time
your flight arrived.

spot animals like crocodiles, water monitors, and numerous bird species.
Visit Negombo Lagoon, surrounded by mangroves. You can enjoy boat rides or kayaking
through the calm waters to observe the natural beauty of the lagoon. You can observe
traditional fishing methods as the fishing community is living near the lagoon.
You will also see Hamilton Canal made during the Dutch colonial period. This waterway is
lined with coconut trees and traditional Sri Lankan homes. Have your lunch at a local
restaurant offering fresh seafood, traditional Sri Lankan dishes, and international cuisine.
At the end of the day, you can do some shopping. Negombo is popular for a good place to

The Dambulla Cave Temple complex, with a giant golden Buddha statue in its top, consists
of five main caves, each filled with statues, murals, and carvings. You can explore these
caves to see the impressive collection of Buddha statues and intricate wall paintings
depicting scenes from Buddha's life and Sri Lankan history. As the temple is situated on a
hill, you can also enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

Sigiriya, also known as Lion Rock, is one of Sri Lanka's most iconic landmarks and a
UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will explore the ruins of King Kashyapa’s palace, built
atop the rock in the 5 th century. The site includes the king's throne, foundations of various
buildings, and an extensive network of gardens, pools, and fountains. Admire the famous
frescoes of the "Sigiriya Maidens" or "Cloud Damsels," painted on a sheltered rock face
about halfway up the rock. The Mirror Wall is so well-maintained in antiquity that it reflects
like a mirror. You can also see ancient graffiti on this wall, written by visitors of 6 th to 14 th
centuries.
The large stone lion paws at the base of the final ascent to the summit are remnants of a
massive brick lion structure that once stood here, giving Sigiriya its name "Lion Rock." There are terraced gardens at the base of the rock, which include meticulously designed water gardens, fountains, and boulder gardens, showcasing ancient landscaping skills.
In the afternoon, you will hike Pidurangala Rock through lush greenery, experiencing
adventure. You’ll pass an ancient temple with a large reclining Buddha statue, which is one
of the key highlights of the climb. Once you reach the top, you are rewarded with panoramic
views of the surrounding landscape, including a breath-taking view of the Sigiriya Rock
Fortress. The summit provides an unobstructed 360-degree view, making it a perfect spot for
photography and enjoying the natural beauty of the area. You will enjoy the breath-taking
view of the sunset in the evening.

Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, also known as Sri Dalada Maligawa, which is
one of the most revered Buddhist sites in Sri Lanka and a UNESCO world heritage site.
Located in Kandy, this is believed to house a sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha. The shrine
of the tooth relic is covered by a golden canopy, adding to the temple’s grandeur. The
temple complex showcases traditional Kandyan architecture with its beautifully carved
woodwork, intricate ivory and lacquer work, and elaborate frescoes depicting scenes from
Buddhist history.
In the evening, you can watch cultural dance performances that showcase traditional
Kandyan dance and music. These shows often occur in the evening and provide an insight
into Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage.

In Bandarawela, visit Lipton Seat and Dambathenna Tea Factory.
Lipton Seat, situated 1970 meters above sea level, is an ideal viewpoint in the upcountry.
This is the seat in which Sir Thomas Lipton, who manufactured the Lipton Tea for the first
time in Sri Lanka and spread it all over the world, used to sit and watch his plantation
around.
In Dambatenna Tea Factory, built by Sir Thomas Lipton in 1890, have an experience about
the process of the tea manufacturing.
Visit Adisham Hall, which is also called Adisham Bungalow, built in 1931 by an English
planter, Sir Thomas Villiers, according to Tudor style, throughout 10 acres (40,000 m 2 ) of
land. Currently it is a monastery run by Benedictine monks.
In the evening, you can take a horse ride or relax in the hotel.

Upon arriving in Yala, visit Kataragama Devalaya, a temple complex dedicated to God

Visit Kiri Vehera, which is an ancient stupa built in the 6th century BC. This is 95 feet in

Leave hotel early morning for safari in Yala National Park, which is a home for 44 varieties of
mammal and 215 bird species.
